Terms and Conditions for the Website of the Belgian Academy of Paediatrics (BAOP)

1. General

1.1 These terms and conditions (hereinafter: "Terms") apply to the website https://baop.be (hereinafter: "Website"), owned by the Belgian Academy of Paediatrics (BAOP) (hereinafter: "BAOP"), located at Kroonlaan 20, 1050 Brussels, Belgium, with company number BE0846515535.

1.2 By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

2. Membership and Membership Fees

2.1 Membership of BAOP is available to professional paediatricians and other medical professionals who wish to join our academy.

2.2 Membership is currently free of charge. However, in the future, there will be a unified membership fee for all paediatric societies. Members will have the right to choose not to participate in this unified membership.

2.3 Membership is valid for one year from the date of registration.

2.4 Members are invited annually to renew their membership. There is no automatic renewal of membership; members can decide at that time not to renew their membership.

2.5 Membership offers benefits such as discounts on specific conferences, access to paid articles, and other exclusive services and information.

2.6 Membership is personal and non-transferable.

3. Payments

3.1 All payments on the Website are made in euros (€).

3.2 BAOP uses secure payment systems to ensure the safety of your transactions.

3.3 After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email. Please keep this confirmation as proof of payment.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1 Cancellation of membership and refunds of the membership fee are only possible within 14 days of the initial payment, in accordance with Belgian consumer protection laws.

4.2 After this period, no refund of the membership fee is possible, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

5. Use of the Website

5.1 The Website and its content, including but not limited to texts, images, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of BAOP or its licensors and are protected by copyrights and other intellectual property rights.

5.2 You may not copy, distribute, modify, or otherwise use the content of the Website without the express written permission of BAOP.

6. Liability

6.1 BAOP strives to keep the information on the Website up to date and accurate, but gives no guarantees regarding the completeness, correctness, or timeliness of the information.

6.2 BAOP is not liable for any damage resulting from the use of the Website, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Privacy
