How can I sign up for a global membership?
Sign up for a membership in five easy steps:
- Click the "Become a member" button at the top of this page. Use the dropdown to select your membership type, then click "Add to cart".
- Review your order on the cart page. Enter a discount code if you have one, and apply the discount before proceeding.
- At checkout, log in with an existing account or create a new account. Choose a payment method, ensure your invoice details are correct, agree to the terms, and click "Place Order".
- You will be redirected to a secure payment page to complete your transaction.
- Once payment is successful, your membership is activated immediately. Check your email for the invoice, including the spam folder.
How can I get a discount?
Eligible members are notified about discount codes via email. Follow the emailed instructions to activate your discount. Here are some key points:
- Enter discounts at the bottom of the cart page.
- Discounts apply per person and are subject to verification.
- Discounts are time-sensitive and cannot be applied retroactively.
How long does a membership last?
Memberships are valid for one year from the date of payment. Check your membership expiry via your BAOP account:
Do memberships renew automatically?
Memberships do not renew automatically. You will be emailed about renewal one week before your membership expires. Renewal is optional.

Membership fees vary based on your status. Select the correct membership type at purchase to avoid cancellation due to incorrect information.
Note: There is no automatic renewal. Each year, one week before the expiry date, you will receive an invitation to renew your membership, with the option not to do so if you wish.
Effective membership (paediatricians, seniors, trainees)
This membership is intended for paediatricians, senior paediatricians and paediatricians in training. Effective members have access to all BAoP benefits aswel as with voting rights in the organisation.

Adherent membership (externals, paramedics,...)
This membership is intended for medical doctors (other than paediatricians) or other professionals with an engagement in paediatrics. Adherent members have access to all BAoP benefits, but theydo not have voting rights in the organisation.
