The Belgian Academy of Paediatrics vzw (in this document further referred to as BAOP vzw) attaches great importance to the privacy of its members and visitors.

Your personal data will therefore always be treated confidentially and we provide insight into our cookie policy.
We hereby apply the GDPR guidelines within the European privacy legislation.

What is personal data?

Personal data is all information that allows the BAOP vzw to verify your identity, directly or indirectly. Personal data are therefore all the details that we can link to you in one way or another, such as your date of birth, e-mail address, your telephone number, your address, etc.

What personal data do we collect and process?
The BAOP vzw collects and processes your personal data as a result of your membership, your participation in activities or because you provided it to us yourself.
The data that we collect and process are:

– First and last name
– Date of birth
– Home address
– E-mail address
– Telephone number
– Professional position and specialisation
– RIZIV number

Why do we collect and process these personal details?

The BAOP asbl collects and processes this data for specific reasons. These minimum details are necessary for the optimal and qualitative operation of the association and the objectives it has set.

Who has access to your personal data?

The BAOP asbl is the ‘data controller’. This means that we determine which data we collect and for what purpose. In legal terms, we determine the ‘purpose of the processing’. But that does not mean that every board member or member of the BAOP has access to everything. Your personal data only reaches those people who need it for their specific task within BAOP vzw.
The BAOP vzw processes personal data only in its own databases.

Do we share your personal data with third parties?

The BAOP vzw undertakes never to share your personal data with third parties unless

– after your personal and explicit consent and where this fits within the objectives of the non-profit organisation;
– this fits within the cooperation with partners in the organisation and/or coordination of training and education moments in the framework of administrative, financial and safety processes and where you have registered yourself;
– we are obliged to do so on a legal basis for a specific reason.

Do you have the right to inspect, correct and delete your personal data?

You have the right to inspect, correct or remove your personal data at any time. You also have the right to withdraw your possible consent for the data processing or to object to the use of your personal data by the BAOP vzw.

The BAOP vzw takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We therefore take appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unsolicited amendments.
