The Profession

Paediatrics is a specialised field dedicated to addressing the unique health needs of children, adolescents and young adults. In Belgium, several paediatric associations(BVK/SBP, GBPF and VVK) merged on 30th of December 2024 to form a larger, unified organisation aimed at advancing paediatric healthcare, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field. The Belgian Academy of Paediatrics, through its youth department, focuses on preparing the next generation of paediatricians by prioritising high-quality education, a healthy work-life balance, and mental well-being.
